US Dry Bean Council Worldwide Reverse Trade Mission

This summer, we had the honor of participating in the Worldwide Reverse Trade Mission hosted by the US Dry Bean Council. Global buyers from around the world came to network with growers, exporters, and companies in Colorado and Nebraska. Buyers visited bean processors, supermarkets, and more. Plus, they got to see a bean harvest in Nebraska. We were grateful for the opportunity to meet great people from around the world and share about Colorado beans!

Towards the back of the meeting room in Denver, there was this display. Check out all the different bean products and snacks from local grocery stores! Beans are so versatile and can be used as a delicious, nutrient-dense ingredient to add fiber and protein.

US Dry Bean Council’s Executive Director, Rebecca Bratter, welcoming everyone and thanking them for joining.

Jay Ewald of Northern Feed & Bean shared about Colorado pinto bean production this year. It’s been a challenging year due to weather and drought, but he said the quality of the beans is excellent.

Northern Feed & Bean also hosted all the global buyers for a tour of their facility and sent them home with fantastic Colorado Proud beans!

It was a wonderful time, and we look forward to staying in touch with our global bean community!
